Seale and Sands Royal British Legion
Seale and Sands Royal British Legion Branch was formed on 26th May 1946. Meetings were held in a private house until they obtained 2 ex army huts and created a Club in July 1949.
The Club you see today was constructed over the original building. The bar remained open for business throughout this major transformation. We were even playing bowls and holding the usual dance nights. During the bar reconstruction, a temporary bar was put in the hall.
When it was built it was an old wooden building so it was reconstructed in 1990 and opened in 1991 as the Club we see today.
Seale and Sands Club offers great entertainment and value for money in a friendly and enjoyable setting. Set in the middle of the Surrey Hills the village is a nice place to walk on a Sunday morning or afternoon and then you can pop in to the Legion for a well deserved drink or a game of pool.
